Summer of Espadrilles

The espadrille trend is out of control right now and I absolutely love it. A couple of years ago I only saw espadrilles in one style: the canvas flats. Now, though, there are a dozens of styles, colors, materials and patterns to choose from. In this post, I've rounded up all my favorite espadrilles and made sure to include a variety of styles. Below, I've linked even more options! I hope this post helps you find the pair that is perfect for you :)

Pop of Mint

Bag: c/o Gigi New York in the color "Stone" | Top: Aritizia | Shorts: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Steve Madden | Necklace: Perry Street | Watch: Kate Spade | Ring: Kendra Scott

I have been on the hunt for the perfect cross body bag and I believe this beauty from GiGi New York does the trick! What makes this bag perfect for me is that the style and color make it the perfect bag for going out at night or adventuring during the day. If you are looking for a brighter colored bag or a different neutral color, though, it comes in blush, mint, cognac, black and more. While this bag seriously goes well with any outfit, I chose to pair it with white eyelet shorts, this super flattering mint top from Aritizia that I've been loving and trendy suede sandals.

Brightening Up Dreary Days

Rain Jacket: c/o Charles River Apparel in "Aqua" | Top: Old | Shorts: Jcrew | Rainboots: Hunter | Umbrella: Kate Spade | Necklace: Kendra Scott

While many people find peace and calm on rainy days, I actually find them gross and depressing (I'm definitely a sunshine and warmth type of person). However, having a cute rain jacket and umbrella on these sad, dreary days helps me to feel a little bit better. This Charles River Apparel rain jacket is such a well made, classic one and comes in 12 colors! I personally love this bright, aqua color because it adds brightness and color to a dreary day. I also think the yellow one is a great option for a classic, New England vibe.

Thanks Emily for the photos!

Springtime Uniform

Shorts: c/o Lauren James | Shirt: Jcrew | Booties: Madewell | Necklace: Jcrew Factory | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelets: Kendra Scott

I love dressing to fit each season perfectly and there is nothing better to wear in the springtime than seersucker. It has me dreaming of garden parties, sunshine, flowers and relaxing days where I'm not bogged down by the stress and pressure of finals. If you are a seersucker appreciator then you must check out Lauren James if you haven't already. From dresses to skirts to swimsuits to even athletic shorts, they have seersucker EVERYTHING! I chose to wear my adorable bow shorts from Lauren James (which are extremely flattering by the way) with a crisp, white off the shoulder top, brown ankle booties and gold accessories. Down below are some alternatives for the pieces I'm wearing!

If you live in the north, you've probably noticed that it has been abnormally cold for the end of April. Because of that, I need cute, fresh and spring-ish clothing that will still keep me warm. This Charles River Apparel chambray shirt fits that criteria perfectly. Here, I chose to style it with these FAB Club Monaco textured scalloped shorts and trendy lace up flats to create the perfect contemporary, neutral outfit. Shop similar pieces below!
